Born and raised in Seoul, Alex was educated in Nebraska and Boston – an odd mix.
Alex believes that we all can be entrepreneurs not with a goal of starting a business, but with a will to create. This is why he co-founded and directed Awesome School, which promotes social entrepreneurship education to hundreds of schools in Korea. He has also authored a couple of books about social entrepreneurship in public education.
He has worked at an impact investment firm where he managed a co-living space project for social entrepreneurs in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and New York. In addition, he also worked at Samsung as a research analyst for M&A projects, and interned at Google where he led multiple sales and marketing initiatives for their cloud services.
Alex studied Entrepreneurship at Babson College and speaks Korean & English fluently. In addition, he has years of experiences in singing in various groups including a U.S army band and Nebraska All-State Choir.
He’s an avid fan of coffee, eggs, and meditation.
